Story By Charles Kariuki
Turkana District in Kenya is a region which is predominantly arid frequented by severe drought throughout the year.

The region is vast, with a difficult terrain and inhabited by a pastoral nomadic community whose livelihoods heavily depend on livestock keeping.

The scarcity of food in the region for years is alarming and prospects for the rest of the year are grim.

The issues of land have perennially tormented peace and security in this area. But World Vision Kenya come in to assist this community to realize their dream. They have trained farmers in Juruk irrigation scheme and also supported them with seeds hence brought hope to the community.
